Create a list of executable or other files stored in an API-Protected service

Prerequisites for the API protection use cases

Roles/actors using the use cases

  • Tenant creation

  • User accounts created

  • CASB API Protection connected to CSP (Cloud Service Provider)

  • CSP (Cloud Service Provider) administrator

  • Cloud governance team

  • Security Analyst

To create a list of documents based on the file type (such as executable file), navigate to API-enabled protection > SAAS > Application. The following window displays. Click the ‘Total Files’ figure.

Inside the Files page, select the filter and navigate to ‘File type’ option. Select the required value(s). The selection will provide a list of files along with file information (such as file size, file owner, last modified). The results can also be exported and downloaded for offline analysis.
